There are NO REFUNDS of instructor courses, as digital products are sent with your course confirmation email. 

Optional BLS Instructor Pin ($10)

The BLS Instructor course allows you to become an American Heart Association BLS Instructor upon meeting all requirements.

The BLS Instructor is also authorized to teach all Heartsaver courses (e.g. First Aid and lay-rescuer CPR AED) provided that the required materials are procured before class delivery.

 

RESCHEDULING:  BLS Instructor rescheduling incurs a $100 rescheduling fee. Please make sure you will be able to attend on the scheduled day.

 

Prerequisites for becoming a BLS Instructor:

  1. Must be at least 18 years of age, you need not be a healthcare provider.
  2. Must be proficient in the skills of CPR and hold a current BLS Provider card.
  3. Be comfortable in working with people with all levels of CPR skills, from the novice to the experienced across various ages.
  4. Be able to follow instructions in both verbal and standard, written English.
  5. Understand that there is a financial commitment involved in the purchase of required equipment, class materials, and provider cards to issue to students.
  6. Have a GREAT attitude!
The following items are REQUIRED to have before attending your BLS Instructor course. These are DIGITAL items, and access codes are emailed along with your course confirmation email. Deselect them only if you already have these items and can provide proof-of-purchase before your in-person class. If you are planning on teaching Heartsaver courses, be sure to add on those required items as well. The instructor pin, if selected, will be provided at class check-in.
