*** This course is NOT for healthcare providers, or for students in healthcare-related programs.  Healthcare providers and students should take Basic Life Support (BLS).  Check with your institution to make sure this is the correct course for you.

Prerequisites:  None - course is open to all. 

Audience:  The course is designed for those lay-rescuer participants who would like to gain the basic skills needed to perform basic CPR on adults, children, and infants, including the use of an AED.  The course is designed for participants who would like to gain the basic skills needed that might save a life in the event of sudden cardiac arrest.

What is covered:  The Heartsaver® program includes the fundamental concepts of providing high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and using an automated external defibrillator (AED).  

Completion card:  CPR AED eCard is issued immediately at the end of class; eCard is valid for two years.

Additional course items

  • OPTIONAL:    An individual pocket mask can be used during the course (in lieu of the provided sanitary barrier), and is yours to keep.
  • OPTIONAL:    American Heart Association CPR lapel pin. Great for your uniform or badge / lanyard.
